Staff and pupils at Whitby’s Airy Hill School are celebrating completing a busy autumn term.

As well as daily learning tasks involving mathematics, reading and writing, the school has developed a curriculum which focuses on developing the whole child.

Pupils have competed in all sports events linked to the School Sports Partnership, entertained the community with carols in care homes; skated on the ice rink and completed a sponsored walk, donating funds to Whitby RNLI.

"This is why our work in the community and offering a broad curriculum is vital.

"It is important that Airy Hill is a school that is rooted at the heart of the local community."

Parents are regularly invited to spend time in school to work with their children.
