BOSSES behind a major West End show set for Scarborough’s Futurist Theatre have announced a new performer to their line-up.

Dreamboats and Petticoats comes to Scarborough in February and March and show chiefs have revealed former X-Factor contestant Terry Winstanley will be joining the cast.

The performance, which also features Scarborough’s Ben James Ellis, focuses on the lives of two young musicians in 1961 as they compete for a national song writing competition and the attention of a girl.

The show is a huge boost to the famous seaside venue, which recently hosted a two-night sell-out performance by Scottish comedian Billy Connolly.

The theatre will also host singer Peter Andre in November and last year welcomed thousands of people for the smash-hit show Calendar Girls.
