A SCARBOROUGH care home is inviting people to write a poem about what dignity means to them.
The poems will then be presented at a coffee morning to mark Dignity Action Day.
The event will be held at Dunollie in Filey Road on Wednesday February 1 from 11am to 3pm.
Event organiser Sally Jones said: “People are welcome to come in, have a coffee, and see how we operate. We’re asking staff, residents and members of the public to tell us what dignity means to them.”
Staff are also putting together a display board on the history of Dunollie and the building.
If you have any old photos or stories you could share, Sally would be interested to hear from you.
The home is also making a general appeal for anyone who would like to come in and entertain residents, such as speakers, singers or entertainers.
