£2m raised by charity champions

FUNDRAISERS from Scarborough have helped Yorkshire Bank and its employees raise £2 million for charity partner Help the Hospices, the leading charity supporting hospice care throughout the UK.

Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks launched the partnership in 2008, twinning each branch with its local hospice.

Jacqui Atkinson, community affairs manager, said: “Not only have Scarborough employees pulled out all the stops to raise this incredible amount, but they regularly share their time and expertise with their local hospice.”

Employees including those in Scarborough have undertaken a wide range of gruelling challenges, while colleagues and the banks have dug deep to show their support.
