SPECTACULAR displays of flowers and vegetables wowed the judges at the Scarborough and District Horticultural Association show.
The early chrysanthemum and dahlia show was held at Crossgates Community Centre and attracted exhibitors from across the region.
Entries were judged in 81 classes with some impressive specimens on show.
Secretary Gordon Shepherd said: “It was a good show and everyone enjoyed it.
“The vegetables are always a big success and the flower collections were arranged beautifully.
“It’s all about taking part and competing – people don’t tend to do it for the prizes.”
Mr Shepherd added that any flowers which exhibitors didn’t take home with them were donated to St Catherine’s Hospice. The next show is being held in November.
