Hundreds of people turned out to enjoy a major healthcare event in Scarborough.
The diabetes awareness event took place at the Spa Complex last Thursday, which was World Diabetes Day. Diabetes services coordinator Helen Hinchliffe, who organised the event, said: “It was very well attended. We had over 200 people along, which was very good.
“People really enjoyed the cookery demonstrations and speaker Richard Lane, president of Diabetes UK, went down very well.”
The event also featured over 50 exhibition stands as well as exercise demonstrations.
