Highways chiefs have cancelled this weekend’s closure of the A64 between Staxton roundabout and Seamer roundabout.
The work will now be reprogrammed to take place in early 2015.
The midweek works between Seamer roundabout and Eastfield roundabout have been completed as per the intended programme, it has also been revealed.
The work between Staxton crossroads and Staxton roundabout are scheduled to begin as planned on Monday and should be completed on Wednesday, December 17, subject to suitable weather conditions.
It will take place between 8pm and 6am with lane closures, temporary traffic signals and convoy working.
This will also require the closures of side roads entering the A64 and diversion routes will be in place.
