KEYBOARDS player Mark Gordon should feel at home when his acoustic rock duo Stony plays at Scarborough Blues Club on Friday.

Mark is already a member of the club’s resident blues band but on Friday he and Rich Adams will play a mixture of acoustic rock numbers including sensitive Boo Hewerdine songs, driving and energetic Van Morrison numbers and original material.

Promoter Mark Horsley says: “Stony have played at the club on several occasions, most memorably alongside the resident band at our Christmas party. However, this will be their first appearance as part of our new Friday night programme.

“When we decided to open on Fridays, Stony was one of the first bands I contacted. Mark and Rich are energetic performers with an extensive repertoire of great songs. They have been performing in the area for many years but I think they will be especially well received at the club. It’s an ideal venue for anyone who appreciates good music and wants to actually listen to the band.”

Entry costs £3 (£2 for members) to include a light buffet.

The club’s monthly jam session should attract a wide range of talent tomorrow.
