Air ambulance called to Scarborough beach
An air ambulance landed on the beach in Scarborough's South Bay yesterday.
The helicopter was called to what Yorkshire Air Ambulance Service described as "a medical incident" at 9.39am.
One person was treated by paramedics and taken to hospital.
A spokesperson said: "At 9.39am we dispatched one of our helicopters to a medical incident in Scarborough
"Our paramedics treated one patient and travelled with the patient by road to the hospital."
