Animal art is to go on show at exhibition

BRITAIN’S best wildlife athletes are to go on show at an art exhibition near Malton.

Artist Robert E Fuller is showcasing his work as part of a summer exhibition at his gallery in Thixendale, Malton, from May 26 to June 10.

The displays will be accompanied by information boards giving visitors details of the incredible athletic prowess of Britain’s wildlife.

“We tend not to pay much attention to the creatures hiding in our hedgerows or perching on our rock faces, but their athletic skills are really something to marvel at,” Mr Fuller explained.

“In nature speed is a matter of life and death. Predators sprint to catch their next meal, and prey use equal speed to escape them.”

All Mr Fuller’s latest paintings, bronze sculpture and limited-edition prints will also be on show, and there will also be art workshops and bush craft skills for children.
