DANCE teacher Anne Taylor is staging her 25th annual show this week.

A Musical Celebration, by the Anne Taylor Dance School, can be seen at the YMCA Theatre at 7pm Friday and Saturday, and 2pm Sunday.

To be compered by Tony Chapman-Wilson, it will be performed by about 140 pupils, the youngest aged three.

The cast will include singers Alan Lewis, Rosie Weatherill, Katie Buttner, Cameron Dunnington-Elliott, Dominic Weatherill, Jessica Oulton and Megan Elvidge.

They will be joined by guest vocalists Terri-Ann Prendergast, now in the last year of an acting degree at York University; and Jordan Langford and Nathan Ellis, who are training at the Italia Conte performing-arts school in London.

Anne, who has taught three generations of the same families, says: “We have a fabulous show with many talented singers, dancers and performers. Everyone has worked so hard to make it a success. I am so pleased that former pupils have returned to perform; many had been with the school since they were four or five.

“We have a show with lots of variety, both old and new, from Circus, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and a lovely burlesque section, through to a fabulous Lady Ga Ga finale”, says Anne.
