Appeal after Scarborough girl hit by pellet

Scarborough police are appealing for information after a 16-year-old girl was hit by a pellet on Valley Bridge.

The incident happened at around 4.15pm on Wednesday 20 August.

As she crossed the bridge, the girl felt a sharp pain in her arm and found a small metal BB-gun type pellet on the ground.

Police are appealing to any witnesses to the incident, including anyone who saw a girl in dark clothing with dark hair, walking across the bridge.

Officers would also like to speak to the occupants of a red car which was seen driving across the bridge at the time of the incident and anyone else who was in the Valley Bridge area at around 4.15pm on Wednesday afternoon.
