A woman who hit if off with a man travelling to Hunmanby is hoping she can track him down – with the help of the Filey and Hunmanby Mercury.

The woman, who asked not to be named, was travelling from Scarborough to Hull on the 4.25pm train on Friday March 24.

She said: “A guy struck up a conversation with me. He was going home to Hunmanby. We had a good chat but did not exchange numbers. We just shook hands and said goodbye.

“His name was Phil or Phillip and I’m sure he’d been a chef at some point. he was wearing distinctive red headphones.

“I would like to speak to him again.”
