PEOPLE are invited to enjoy a variety of work at an arts festival in Scarborough this weekend.
The event will be held at the Old Boatyard in Sandside on Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 5pm.
It will feature work by local artists including Andrew Cheatham, Kane Cunningham, Wendy Tate, Angela Chalmers, Len Hodgson, Ron Baxter, Helen Birmingham, Sally Gatie, Richard and Alan Stuttle, Shirly Vauvelle and Ken Wood.
Also showcased will be work produced by members of societies and clubs in and around Scarborough. Work by students from Yorkshire Coast College’s Westwood Campus will be also be on display in the former marine engineers’ building and pieces submitted by senior school pupils will be judged by internationally-acclaimed artist Clive Head.
The show will also feature the popular statue “Freddie Gilroy and the Belsen Stragglers”, which is being moved temporarily from its home in Marine Drive.
Everyone is welcome to attend this free event, which is backed by Welcome to Yorkshire.
