A LANDMARK hotel is giving a boost to Scarborough Museums Trust after signing up to sponsor one of the organisation’s latest exhibitions.
The Raven Hall Country House Hotel, in Ravenscar, will be the sponsor of the autumn exhibition Landscape Revisited at Scarborough Art Gallery.
The exhibition is set to feature work by landscape photographer Joe Cornish and Scarborough painter Kane Cunningham.
Diane Uhalde, director at Raven Hall, said: “The hotel is proud to sponsor this unique exhibition which is an innovative concept to document our wonderful coastline.
“In particular we are excited about the perfect collaboration of two acclaimed artists whose work will both inspire and stimulate debate through the uniqueness of their interpretation.
“This ground breaking work is of great significance both for Scarborough Art Gallery and North Yorkshire, and Raven Hall is delighted to support the project.”
Shirley Collier, chief executive of Scarborough Museums Trust, said: “We are always looking for ways to work more closely with local businesses and are thrilled that we have managed to find such a perfect sponsor for this exhibition.
“The preservation of the collections and the running of both the gallery and the Rotunda as well as the many events and workshops we offer throughout the year all provide a valuable community benefit, and local businesses are an important part of that community.”
