A CHILDREN’S author will be in Scarborough today to talk about and sign a book he has written in memory of his late daughter.
Kevin Price, who will be at Waterstone’s in Westborough from 11am, wrote the book following the death of his eight-year-old daughter Maisie from swine flu in 2009.
Maisie was the first person in Norfolk who died of the H1N1 virus, having had no underlying health issues.
One of the ways Mr Price has dealt with his grief is to write the book, called The Beauty Contest at the Zoo.
In it, a little girl called Maisie and her zoo-keeper father hold a beauty contest to amuse all the animals while they await opening time at the zoo they live in.
