Scarborough Sixth Form College held an awards evening at the Spa to recognise the accomplishments of former students.
The majority of students who completed their qualifications in June are now at university. These include Naomi Mensah studying Medicine at the University of Dundee, Alex Consoli studying Engineering Design at the University of Bristol and Charlene Hennells, who is studying Sport and Exercise Science at Leeds Metropolitan University. Twenty-one awards were presented in total including the Maths award presented to “outstanding mathematician” Jack Mead, who is now studying Physics at Cambridge.
Nicole Bartle received the Music and Music Technology award. She said: “I made some amazing friends that I will keep in touch with and achieved some great grades thanks to the support of the staff.” She is currently taking a gap year. The Principal’s Achievement award went to Jack McEvoy who also received the Law award. Jack is now at the University of Sheffield studying Psychology.
