CHRISTMAS came early at one Scarborough church during an annual Bazaar event.

St Columba’s Church, in Dean Road, attracted scores of people for the day, which was officially opened by former Scarborough mayor Hazel Lynskey and ex-mayoress Sheila Kettlewell.

The bazaar featured a plethora of fun activities and stalls which offered goods including bric-a-brac, cakes, wood carvings, books and various craft items.

There was also a grand Christmas draw and tombola for people to try their luck, with organisers hailing the event a great success.
