A GROUP of kind-hearted Scarborough bikers have given a big boost to Martin House Children’s Hospice.

Members of the Eastfield Eagles handed over a cheque for £657 to the Scarborough Friends of Martin House.

The group does a sponsored charity ride every year and this one took place in the Yorkshire Dales.

George Sowersby accepted the cheque on behalf of Martin House.

He said: “We would like to thank the Eastfield Eagles for their generous donation of £657.

“It was a wonderful surprise to receive and we are very grateful indeed, as Martin House relies mainly on donations and fundraising events.”

The hospice in Boston Spa is Scarborough’s local children’s hospice.
