MUSIC fans were in for a huge treat over the weekend as Scarborough hosted its first ever blues festival.
The four-day event drew to a close last night and featured some of the country’s top blues bands.
Organised by Scarborough Blues Club, it was staged at the Cask and the Stephen Joseph Theatre, where last night’s grand finale took place.
Fans were treated to an eight-hour show which started at 2pm yesterday and featured some of Europe’s finest artists, including The Krissy Matthews Band, Guy Totora, King King, Hokie Joint and Never the Bride.
Many local artists also performed at the festival, including Paul Tilley, Tom Townsend, Mark Gordon, Dave Kemp, Rich Adams and Laura Welburn.
Blues fans travelled from all over the country for the festival, which organisers hope will now become an annual event.
