Lovers of books and aspiring writers in the area can enjoy a host of events next month.

On Friday March 2, and the first Friday of each month, at 11am, the homeless readers’ group will meet and discuss books around the theme of ‘the sea’ at Bridlington Library.

At 2pm the same day, and the first Friday of every month, the Bridlington Library Writers’ Group will meet and discuss the theme of ‘One Day’.

Fact or fiction, those who attend will be asked to write about a day in their lives, be it good, bad, life-changing, one they wish would happen or even a journey or outing that still remains memorable. The article will be 500 words or 40 lines of poetry.

On Friday March 9, and the second Friday of each month, at 2pm, the Bridlington Library Readers’ Group are going to read a genre new to all the group’s members, ‘Mills and Boon’, so, if you’ve never read one or enjoy them and want to share your thoughts, then do come along.

All sessions are open to everyone and entry and refreshments are free.
