Scarborough Athletic boss Steve Kittrick is preparing his troops for a real battle when they travel to Pickering Town in the North Riding FA Senior Cup on Tuesday night.

Boro reside a division above their NCEL Premier opponents, but Kittrick is expecting an extra touch of spice due to the derby nature of the game.

The winners face up to either Middlesbrough or Whitby Town in the final of the competition.

"This is a game that we have to treat in the right manner," said Kittrick.

"Pickering will be up for it and they will give us a tough game, we have to go out there prepared for the battle.

"We trained well on Saturday and the lads are ready to go. This is a semi-final and a local derby that we want to win."

Boro will be without strikers Benny Igiehon (suspended) and former Pike Billy Logan, who turned out against Marske earlier in the competition.
