THREE acts have been booked to perform at Scarborough’s Open Air Theatre this summer, the Evening News can reveal.
Boy band JLS, chart-topping singer Olly Murs and ‘60s legend Dionne Warwick will take to the stage at the £3.5 venue within months.
The acts have been booked by Scarborough Council, in an absence of an announcement from the theatre’s operator, Apollo Resorts and Leisure.
Cllr David Jeffels, Scarborough Council’s cabinet portfolio holder for tourism, said: “Scarborough as a whole will be a Mecca for holiday entertainment this summer.
“It’s an exciting line-up which will have an appeal to all ages. I am quite certain that it will provide a big boost to the town’s economy.”
