Nicholas and Victoria Howard welcomed Jeremy Irons and his wife Sinéad Cusack to Castle Howard as he takes part in this year’s Ryedale Festival as an Artist in Residence.

In the first of a series of four concerts that run throughout the week, the festival has brought together the Heath Quartet and Jeremy Irons to perform Beethoven’s final quartets and TS Eliot’s Burnt Norton.

Jeremy played Charles Ryder in Granada’s production of Brideshead Revisited which was filmed at Castle Howard.

October 2016 will mark 35 years since the series was first aired in the UK.
