TWO brave Scarborough brothers are taking to the skies to do a freefall fundraiser in aid of Cancer Research.

Mark and James Lawton will be doing a sponsored skydive this Sunday at Grindale, near Bridlington.

The plucky pair arranged the fundraiser after Mark’s fiancee Angela lost her sister, 27-year-old bowling champ Carole McLean, to cancer.

Angela’s mum Julie is also currently having cancer treatment and both Mark and James wanted to show their support.

Mark, 27, of Seamer, said: “We’ve never done anything like this before. My brother loves adrenaline, but I’m pretty nervous!

“We’ve got over £3,000 in sponsorship so far, so we’re really pleased.

“Everyone has been really supportive. We’re got friends and family coming along to watch on Sunday too, so there should be quite a crowd!” To sponsor the pair go to www.bmycharity.com/carole
