A vintage bus convoy proceeded through Scarborough this afternoon - transporting former driver Charlie Bullock to his final resting place.
Mr Bullock died at the age of 97 on August 17 at Mayfair Residential Home.
His funeral, held today at Woodland’s Crematorium, had been planned years in advance by Mr Bullock.
He wanted his coffin to be driven to the crematorium in the 1940 Bristol K-type bus which he used to drive, and went on to buy in later life.
And so it was, at 1.30pm this afternoon the old double decker, which had been converted into a recovery vehicle, set off from the coach park in Westwood before carrying Mr Bullock along Valley Bridge Parade, onto Westborough and Falsgrave, before making its way to the crematorium along Scalby Road.
