Two young mechanics have made it a successful double for a Scarborough garage.

Dan Noon and Nathan Pearson have both been recognised for their hard work whilst training as apprentices with Courtyard Car Centre.

Mr Noon, 19, from Sandybed, has just been named Apprentice of the Year for this region as he studies at Yorkshire Coast College towards an NVQ in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.

He follows on from Mr Pearson, 21, from Eastfield, who last year received the Second Year Achievement Award during his studies at the college towards his NVQ in the same subject.

Graham Brammer, who owns the Sherwood Street garage, said: “I’m very proud of both of them.

“They came to me from school as young lads interested in becoming mechanics and have shown that if you put the hard work in you can achieve a lot.

“They are becoming very valuable employees to me now.”
