A FILEY man has been appointed by Barclays Corporate to boost the North Yorkshire team.

Bob Miller joins the team as a relationship director and will be responsible for larger corporate clients with a turnover in excess of £5 million in the North Yorkshire region.

Mr Miller will specialise in the hospitality and tourism sector and take on existing and new clients.

Mr Miller is delighted with the new role and said: “It’s great to be working in North Yorkshire and the East Coast and I am looking forward to working with new and existing clients in the hospitality and tourism sector. Our aim is to be the first choice banking provider for the hospitality and tourism sector in North and East Yorkshire and we will be progressing this goal with vigour.”

Moving from Barclays Corporate in West Yorkshire to take up the role, Mr Miller now lives in Filey with his wife Alison who runs a retail business in the town. Having enjoyed many holidays in the area over the years they decided to move permanently to the area.

Mr Miller says his interests include helping his wife with the new business, renovating their new home and enjoying the beautiful East Yorkshire coast and all it has to offer.
