BBC to bring Red Carpet Cinema Tour to Scarborough

The BBC is bringing a pop-up cinema to Scarborough to show some of its festive television schedule.

The 100 seat touring cinema will be in Scarborough on December 30 from 10am to 7.20pm at North Bay Piazza.

The tickets are free for locals, these just need to be applied for online.

The event will be a chance to stop by, get comfortable and watch some exclusive viewings ahead of the rest of the UK, including the Call The Midwife Christmas special

With the content tailored to each different location, general screening highlights will include: a preview of CBBC’s much-anticipated new series of children’s classic The Worst Witch; an exclusive peek at the annual CBeebies Christmas special, this year a reworking of The Nutcracker; a seasonal visit to Call The Midwife, which sees the nuns help a hospital in South Africa; a chance to have a ‘khan-derful Christmas’ with community leader Mr Khan and his family in the Citizen Khan Christmas Special; a peep at one of the jewels of the BBC’s Christmas crown - the animated adaptation of Roald Dahl’s Revolting Rhymes and the brand new Sally Wainwright film about the Yorkshire’s famous Bronte family ‘To Walk Invisible’
