THEY might not have got a ticket to the London games, but businesses in Scarborough are still getting into the sporting spirit with the help of a local recruitment consultancy.

In line with the Olympic year, Castle Employment Agency, of York Place, is encouraging businesses in and around the area to ‘Get Active in 2012!’ and has a number of sporting events planned, the first is a rugby match on May 12.

The company held a draw for local businesses to win pairs of tickets to experience the action and enjoy lunch in the Corporate Marquee at the upcoming County Champions game at Scarborough Rugby Club which will see Yorkshire take on Lancashire.

John Stevenson, commercial director of Scarborough Rugby Club, was on hand to help draw the winning tickets with Castle’s Eamonn Byrne and Georgina Towse overseeing.

Five lucky business winners were drawn in total and will go on to join members of the Castle team and other guests at the match next weekend.

My Byrne said: “We have embraced the Olympic sporting theme this year and I am particularly delighted to have the rugby tournament as our first event and very much look forward to cheering Yorkshire on from the side-lines.”
