PEOPLE in Scarborough are being given the chance to try their hand at styling hair.
As part of an international skill learning scheme, Academy Hair and Beauty, in Victoria Road, is making it possible for anyone to ‘have a go’.
Working with World Skills UK, Academy is offering training sessions in hair and beauty at its purpose built Scarborough centre.
The event is taking place on Monday December 12, at 149 Victoria Road, as well as at Academy’s Norton branch.
Those wanting to try out hairdressing are invited to visit the centre at 1pm when training will start at 1pm.
Beauty sessions start at 10.30am, and last for up to two hours.
They are designed for beginners or anyone who is interested in having a go at practical activities including hand and arm massage, hair up styles, Indian head message, hair plaits and nail art.
World Skills UK works with agencies and training providers across the world to promote vocational training and skills.
The scheme is funded by the European Union’s European Social Fund.
