AN ESTABLISHED Filey law firm has flung open its doors to celebrate the refurbishment of its office in the town.
Thorpe & Co has spruced up its Belle Vue Street premises, and champagne corks were popped by staff as the firm held a party to celebrate the facelift.
Dignitaries from the town were in attendance at the event, including the Mayor of Filey, Cllr Richard Walker.
He was full of praise for the firm, who have been operating in Filey for over 50 years, with offices in Scarborough and Whitby.
“The work is an uplift to the street, it really is,’ said Cllr Walker. “They have served Filey well for many years and I’m sure they will do so for many more.”
The firm moved into Filey in 1957 and has a long-standing reputation in the town, as well as in Scarborough, where it also has an office.
Practice Manager Justin Coates said: “Everybody is thrilled with the work. We just thought it would be a fresh new start for Filey. We just want to remind people that we’re still here, and that it’s very much business as usual.”
