Florist designs national range

FESTIVE floristry has been the order of the day at a Scarborough business after one its staff was chosen to design a national campaign.

Florist Kate Ward was asked to design the range for Interflora’s Design to Order Christmas 2011 products.

Mrs Ward, who works at Louise Florist, in Huntriss Row, worked on three ranges for the national florist chain; Opulent, Nostalgic and Traditional.

She said: “I was away in Nottingham for three days to work on the designs and the photo shoot.

“It was a great experience and to be totally in charge of the flowers was fabulous.”

The designs included door wreaths, table and fireplace arrangements, and were created to inspire customers to for bespoke arrangements for Christmas.

Mrs Ward’s Opulent door wreath was so well received by Interflora it was used as the image on the company’s official Christmas card.
