A SCARBOROUGH hairdresser is looking to do the double after getting through to the finals of a national competition for the second year running.
Georgia Miles, 17, of Zoe’s Hair Gallery in Aberdeen Street, is through to the Association of Hairdressing and Beauty Therapists awards final in Blackpool.
Miss Miles, who trains at The Academy in Malton, won the competition last year in the Ladies’ Progressive category.
This year she is hoping to take home the title again, however this time she is competing in the Men’s Hair category.
Zoe Jenkinson, who run’s Zoe’s Hair Gallery, said: “I am really proud that she has got through to the final again.
“She works very hard and is always progressing as a stylist, and I am absolutely delighted she is going to Blackpool for a second year running.”
Miss Miles will be competing against entrants from all over the country.
She said: “I am really excited about going to Blackpool again. I would love to win again, but it really is an honour just to be in the final for the second year running.
“I could not have done it without the help from Zoe, and I am looking forward to competing again.”
