MANUFACTURER Ellis Patents will see its products fitted throughout a new £36 million super school.

Pipes throughout the Bolton school are being secured with Apache hanger clamps made in Rillington after Ellis Patents won the contract for their plumbing products division to supply the clamps.

St Catherine’s Academy in the town’s Breightmet area is the borough’s second publicly funded independent school.

The clamps, which are distributed exclusively through BSS and were specified through its Manchester branch, were selected for the project by NG Bailey.

David Oatt, senior contracts manager of NG Bailey said: “Both myself and my colleagues have been impressed whenever we have used the Apache clamps in the past and so had no hesitation in using them again. They are tough wearing, flexible and quick and easy to install, which is pretty much everything you want from this type of product.”

Ellis Patents products can be found all over the world as the company has been selected to manufacture products for a variety of projects.

Tony Conroy, Ellis Patents’ export sales manager said; “We have specialist distributors in the Middle East, Asia, South America, Australia, Kazakhstan and the United States, with whom we work closely in order to ensure our name and products are to the fore whenever this kind of project comes online.”

This approach has proved successful for Ellis Patents, with repeat orders for elements of the Kashagan project in Kazakhstan, and major orders for use in Brazil, Africa and Qatar.
