A Scarborough college is looking to the future to spread the word about its aims to turn out a technological world-leading workforce.
The University Technical College, for 14-18-year-olds specialising in advanced engineering, cyber technology and robotics, as well as a standard school curriculum, has appointed a new marketing officer.
Shafiqa Gunton, previously responsible for marketing 50 motor dealerships has returned to the coast from Leeds to play her part in the town’s future.

“I’m especially looking forward to participating in Scarborough Engineering Week October 13-15 down at the Scarborough Spa.
“There will be plenty of thrilling activities for the children to really inspire them about engineering and enable them to learn though play.”
