FOOTWEAR chain Brantano opens its new Scarborough store in Seamer Road Retail Park today.
The shoe firm, which is bringing 14 new jobs, will hold an official opening event this weekend.
Next at Home, which confirmed a move to the retail park earlier this year, is also bringing new job vacancies as it prepares to open its store in October.
Brantano and Next at Home are moving into the unit which was formerly home to Allied Carpets before it went into administration in August 2009 and closed its Scarborough branch.
The unit will be split into two separate outlets to accommodate its new occupiers.
The move follows the arrival of 50 jobs in the area when Dunelm Mill moved to Seamer Road in February this year.
Karen Staton, retail operations director at Brantano Footwear, which has 140 stores nationwide, said: “We are really excited to be opening our new store in Scarborough.
“We hope to offer something for everyone, from our wide range of affordable fashionable footwear to our top branded sports shoes.”
The two new arrivals will see Seamer Road Retail Park return to full occupancy for the first time in a number of years.
