A RELOCATION has seen client and contractor become new neighbours as Willmott Dixon Partnerships moves in with Yorkshire Coast Homes.

The maintenance contractors’ Scarborough team now share offices with clients Yorkshire Coast Homes following a successful five- year relationship.

Both organisations now work together at Yorkshire Coast Homes’ headquarters in Gladstone Road, where they continue their partnership to repair and maintain 4,500 homes in Scarborough and Whitby after five years working together.

A total of 12 Willmott Dixon members of staff have moved from Newchase Court, where the team has been based since the £3.2 million contract began in 2006.

Bosses say the move to shared office space was to “improve operational procedures and communication”, and is expected to “further enhance the service that the partnership provides”.

Yorkshire Coast Homes Chief Executive Shaun Tymon said: “We warmly welcome Willmott Dixon Partnerships to our head office in the town centre. The integration of the company’s team with our own will further strengthen the repairs and maintenance service which we deliver to our customers in the local area.

“The relocation will provide us with more opportunities to deliver an improved cost effective service for the duration of this partnership.

“Our customer satisfaction figures have been consistently high since the partnership began, and we are confident that this will only further improve in the future.”

Mark Emptage, Willmott Dixon’s Scarborough branch manager, added: “This move will not only allow us to communicate more efficiently but will also allow us to deliver the project more resourcefully and economically.

“Our ethos is to consistently deliver value and efficiency, and we are confident that this is a positive move that will benefit what is already a great working relationship.

“We are looking forward to more personal interaction that will benefit customers as they start to see an even more reliable and professional service being delivered.”
