A SCARBOROUGH tourist hot spot is expanding its offering after teaming up with Whitby Seafoods.

A new Scampi Shack has opened up at the North Bay Railway in a move to offer customers food on the go.

The venture precedes the opening of Yorkshire’s Smallest Pub which is due to start trading next to the shack on the site in a couple of weeks time.

North Bay Railway’s managing director David Humphreys said: “I saw the Scampi Camper, which is Whitby Seafoods mobile outlet, out and about and I thought it would be great to have something similar but permanent at the Railway.

“It will be a great accompaniment to the pub which is due open as people calling for a drink can also have a snack and vice versa.

“I also think it will do well as it is in a great location next to the Open Air Theatre, and we get a lot of passing trade with families walking through.”
