A NATIONAL restaurant chain is in the running for a PR award thanks to the work of a Scarborough design consultant.
Fitzpatrick Design, based at Woodend Creative Workspace, has been working with The Living Room, who have now been nominated for one of the PR industry’s top awards.
Scarborough designer Neil Fitzpatrick came up with the logo and branding for the chain’s Suit Amnesty promotion.
The scheme involved people donating their unwanted suits to the restaurants, which then made them available to the unemployed, homeless or event students.
Fitzpatrick Design created the logo for the initiative – based on a suit label – and a range of marketing materials including press adverts, posters and an email campaign.
Mr Fitzpatrick, who has a number of national clients said: “The campaign was a huge success with thousands of suits donated across the country and The Living Room were delighted with the logo and branding we created.
“Nominations like this show the strength of the creative sector in Scarborough. There’s no need for local businesses to go outside the town, the creative talent in Scarborough is amazing.
“I am now looking to take on an experienced senior designer to cope with all the new work.”
