THAT’S a great result.
Staff and children at Childhaven Care Services – CCS – are celebrating after getting a ‘good’ rating from Ofsted.
“We only moved into these premises a year ago so what with everything that entailed we weren’t expecting such a good rating,” said co-ordinator Michelle Stokes.
Jade Rogers is the foundation stage co-ordinator for the service.
“It also gives us scope for improvement,” she said.
The charity is based in Falsgrave, near Sainsbury’s, and caters for children aged up to 11.
It runs after-school and holiday clubs as well as catering for babies and toddlers during term time.
“We have 50 children using the centre at the moment and are registered to take 60,” said Mrs Stokes.
“We’re really pleased with our new premises, it has given us the space to do a lot,” she said.
