GLITZ and glamour was out in full force as the Yorkshire Federation of Women’s Licensed Trade Association came to Scarborough for a banquet and ball.

The evening was held at the Ambassador Hotel, and saw landladies from across the region don their finery for the occasion.

The event followed the Association’s annual conference, which was held during the day, also at the hotel in Esplanade.

Throughout the conference the women discussed ideas to help past and present landladies, and come up with fundraising ideas.

The group raised £11,000 for charities this year, with the Scarborough Ladies Auxilliary to the Licence Trade group supporting The Sea Cadets and Macmillan Cancer Care.
