THE sale of crisis-hit Woodhead the Bakers is expected to take place within a week.
Administrators of the family-run firm have announced they are hopeful of securing a sale of the business within the next seven days.
Woodhead went in to administration two weeks ago, with 30 employees made redundant immediately.
After remaining tight-lipped for the past fortnight, administrators have revealed they are in detailed discussions with potential buyers for the 74-year-old business.
Christopher White of The P&A Partnership, Sheffield, the joint administrator, said: “Negotiations are at an advanced stage with prospective buyers whom we are unable to name at present.”
