SMALL and medium-sized businesses are being encouraged to attend a half-day workshop to learn about the first steps they can take to reducing their environmental impact while saving themselves money in the process.
The event will take place at Scarborough Library on Wednesday at 9.30am.
The workshop, organised by Yorkshire Energy Partnership’s North Yorkshire Green Business Club will see Dr James Bridges, sustainability officer at Scarborough Council join the Environmental Co-ordinator of Scarborough-based producers of customised stationary, Duraweld, and other local businesses to share knowledge and information about how incorporating environmental improvements into the business can save money and win new customers.
The hands-on workshop will involve businesses developing their own action plan, learning how to complete a simple site assessment and includes signposting about where they can find additional tools and resources.
Interested businesses can sign-up to the workshop and join the club by contacting Laura Backhouse on 01904 554638.
Alternatively, they can email firstname.lastname@example.org
