Bill Nighy, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Gambon took time out from filming Dad’s Army to shop in Scarborough.
Nighy, who will play Sergeant Wilson in the big screen version of the popular BBC comedy, was in Huntriss Row and St Thomas Street and posed for photographs with members of the public.
Ms Zeta-Jones also paid a visit to Huntriss Row on Thursday, browsing in shop windows including that of Bond Jewellers, and later the same morning embarked on a shopping trip around Whitby.
Dressed all in black and wearing a black hat and sunglasses, the Chicago and Ocean’s Twelve star visited Venus Trading in Sandgate, the Owl & the Pussycat in Church Street, and Home Works in Bridge Street.
Michael Gambon, who performed in Othello at the Stephen Joseph Theatre in the early 1990s, is also in the film and was in town on Wednesday.
Filming took place this week in Bridlington and the film crew will be returning to the town in a fortnight, and will head to Cloughton early next month.
