SHOPPERS in Scarborough are invited to have a free hearing screening at Specsavers, in Westborough, on Friday
The Sound Check the Nation hearing campaign is part of a nationwide hearing health check roadshow.
It was launched by Specsavers hearing centres to test the nation’s hearing and raise awareness of hearing loss.
Scarborough mayor Cllr Hazel Lynskey will be supporting the nationwide hearing health check roadshow by visiting Scarborough Specsavers during the day.
Craig McWilliams, a store director at Specsavers hearing centre in Scarborough, said: “One in seven people in the UK suffer from a hearing loss and many simply suffer in silence. We hope this initiative will make people more aware of their hearing and the importance of regular tests.”
