DOMINO players at the Trafalgar Pub have raised £700 for the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

For the past 12 weeks, players in the summer fives and threes domino league have raised the money by holding raffles at matches.

Members of the league take it in turn to donate prizes, ranging from meals at the pub to bottles of whisky, to be raffled off during league matches.

The league is sponsored by joint pub landlords Tony Bernard and Sean Colley who contribute to the financial costs of the league, and last week they, along with the clubs treasurer Harry Millard, presented MS Society branch treasurer Jan Milnes with a cheque. Mr Millard said: “Most of the money people raise is given to the same charities, so we thought it’s nice to give it to the MS Society, who need it just as much.”
