A CHARITY set up in memory of a Scarborough teenager has received a boost from sixth form students.

In their latest fundraising venture, students studying Cope - the Certificate of career effectiveness - organised activities as part of coursework to raise money for Ellie’s Fund.

A dodge ball tournament in the college sports hall was the main event which raised £45.65 adding to a cake sale collection of £58.06 and a line of pennies making up £25.06.

Course teacher Sandra Gregory said: “All the students taking part enjoyed the events, thank-you to everyone involved and for the donations given.” 115023a
