MISS Scarborough Leanne Wilford may shortly be handing over her crown, but she’s determined to keep up the good work to help the community.
With the help of her sister, Leanne has donated around 100 toys to her chosen charity of the year, Martin House Children’s Hospice.
She said: “We were having a clear out, so I’ve donated my nephew’s toys. They are in really good condition and we wanted them to go to a good cause and are really happy to help.”
George Sowersby, a representative of the Scarborough Friends of Martin House Hospice added: “It’s a fantastic donation and we’re very grateful to Leanne for helping to push the profile of Martin House in our 25th anniversary year.
“Some toys will go to the hospice, others will go to our shops and to our fairs but it will all benefit the hospice.”
