A SCARBOROUGH nursery is celebrating after its chef cooked up a five-star hygiene performance.
Happy Jays Nursery chef Chris Atkinson has received glowing praise from Environmental Health inspectors after impressing with his clean and tidy work environment.
Mr Atkinson was given the highest grade under European Union guidelines for having “very good standards and practices” of food preparation areas and practices.
Louise Goodger, manager of Happy Jays which caters for 94 children, added: “We are all so proud of Chris. The nursery kitchen is a very busy place to be as Chris plans and prepares three meals a day for the children including purees for our weaning babies, a main menu and several special dietary requirements to cater for too. This five star rating reflects what Happy Jays is all about – the highest quality for all our children.”
